Welcome to my space! I am Mardene R. Carr, an experienced information specialist, librarian, and adjunct faculty member dedicated to empowering learning through innovation, technology, and education. With several years of experience in library management, academia, and digital marketing, I am passionate about fostering knowledge access and creating transformative learning experiences.
Currently, I serve as an adjunct faculty member at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean and the University of the People, where I design and deliver online courses in Gerontology and University Studies. In the past, I have led library initiatives at Broward County Libraries, Seacrest Country Day School, and Ross University, enhancing educational programming, managing collections, and implementing innovative library services.
I hold three master’s degrees: in Educational Technology from DeVry University and Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University and the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Theology at the University of the West Indies )UWI)—Mona.
My passion for knowledge extends beyond the classroom and library, as reflected in my publications and presentations on digital education, telecommuting strategies, and competitive intelligence. I am an active member of various professional organizations, including the American Library Association (ALA) and the Association of Christian Librarians.
Whether through teaching, writing, or developing new programs, my goal is to inspire growth, foster curiosity, and support the next generation of learners.
Let’s connect and explore new ways to transform education and information access!
