Book Review At Work Within: Transformation Through Discipleship
Discipleship and transformation should be at the core of every church but so many churches have the wrong idea. Today we have a lot of information, yet so many church members have not been transformed.
Discipleship and Transformation
Rick Osborne teaches us how to be transformed by looking at the seven truths of transformation. According to the author, the seven truths of transformation are:
- In His Image
- His Disciples
- Righteousness and Grace
- From Faith to Faith
- All Things New
- The Renewing of Your Mind
- Transforming Prayer
The author uses these seven truths as chapter headings and does an excellent job of teaching us how easy it is for transformation to take place if our hearts are in the right place.
I love the fact that this book is so simple to understand even though it is touching on a big subject. Rick has a lot of experience, yet he is not throwing that theological experience around with expressions that the average person cannot understand. There are plenty of scriptures to back up what he is talking about, so new ministry leaders might find this book very useful.
At Work Within shows the enthusiasm that the author has for discipleship and transformation. His contagious enthusiasm will propel the reader to do what is necessary to be transformed.
